Access to pre-register for the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery is reserved exclusively for Elite and Premium members. In order to complete your registration, you must have your unique promo code ready. While Select members cannot pre-register, they can join the rush line on-site for a chance to attend the red carpet.2

What happens on-site at the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery?
Avion Rewards members get access to the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery, where guests are provided the best views of celebrities walking the red carpet at David Pecaut Square, for films premiering at Roy Thomson Hall. In addition to the celebrities, RBC and Avion are putting YOU in the spotlight, with exciting on-site experiences, including:
- Photo Opportunities throughout the space, so guests can share their RBC® Red Carpet Gallery experience on social!
- Arrival prizing, where guest will receive a welcome gift bag1 fit for a star. In honour of TIFF’s 50th anniversary, the 50th Avion Rewards guest to arrive on-site at each event with receive an extra special giftbag!
- Our emcee, Gregor Reynolds, will be hosting movie trivia for a chance to win prizes including 15,000 Avion Reward points.
How do I get access to the screenings?
In order to reserve your spot, Elite and Premium members will need to pre-register via this registration platform. If your reservation is confirmed, an access pass will be sent to your email with a QR code for access into the space. All guests will be required to show their unique QR Code at the time of entry. Avion Rewards Elite members should bring their RBC Avion Visa card to confirm lower-level access. While Select members cannot pre-register, they can join the rush line on-site for a chance to attend the red carpet.*
How many screenings can I register for?
Avion Rewards Elite & Premium members can register for a maximum of 2 exclusive events. Additional spaces may be made available the day-of and distributed through a rush line process at the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery.
Does my reservation include tickets to the film?
No. RBC® Red Carpet Gallery grants you access to view the red carpet celebrity arrivals and entertainment only and does not include a film ticket.
Is RBC® Red Carpet Gallery accessible?
Yes, accessible seating is available on the lower level. Seating in the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend arriving early so we can accommodate your accessibility needs.
Why is the check-in time so early?
The check-in opening and closing times are restrictions put in place by the Toronto International Film Festival to safely secure David Pecaut Square before red carpet arrivals begin. If you have not checked-in before your session’s closing time, your spot at the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery will be released.
Is there a way to attend the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery experience if I didn’t pre-register or I’m not an Avion Rewards Elite or Premium member?
Yes! We will have a stand-by line onsite should registered guests fail to show up before the time check-in closes. Please note that stand-by access is released on a first-come, first-served basis and is not guaranteed. Guests who choose to wait for a stand-by seat to open do so at their own risk.
Am I allowed to bring my camera?
The following items are not permitted in the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery: long lens cameras (handheld cameras are OK), selfie sticks, umbrellas, outside food and beverage. Please review the TIFF Fan Zone bag policy should you have any additional questions.
What should I wear?
The RBC® Red Carpet Gallery is outdoors and uncovered, so please dress appropriately for weather conditions. “Smart casual” attire is recommended.
Can I interact with celebrities on the red carpet?
You are welcome to engage with celebrities on the red carpet as they approach the RBC® Red Carpet Gallery, in an appropriate and respectful manner. Failure to comply and/or expressing aggressive, abusive or vulgar behaviour will not be tolerated, and you will be asked to leave.
